Discover Watamu
The adjacent underwater national park (Watamu Marine National Park & Reserve) is one of the oldest in Africa. Fishing is prohibited in the national park. Encounters with turtles, whale sharks, dolphins and manta rays are not uncommon here. There are over 150 species of colorful and healthy hard and soft corals and a large variety of fish species.
Watamu is also an important breeding area for turtles – mainly green turtles and hawksbill turtles.
At least twice a day we take our boats to one of about 15 different dive sites on our large reef. All sites can be reached within 10 – 25 minutes. Individual diving in small groups (max. 4 divers per guide) is guaranteed.
Of course we arrange the groups according to the experience, needs and qualifications of the divers.
We offer all diving courses from beginner to divemaster in German, English and Kiswahili.
The diving center is mainly equipped with materials from Scubapro.
There are over 40 complete sets of diving equipment available. Our equipment includes over 100 steel tanks (10 l, 12 l) with INT & DIN connections as well as dive computers and other extras. Nitrox diving is possible for an extra charge. All equipment (diving suits, jackets, regulators, masks, snorkels, fins etc.) can of course be hired from us for an additional charge.
The best conditions for diving are between mid-October and April.
During the other months, diving on the outer reef cannot be guaranteed due to weather conditions. During this time, dives on our inner reef (Turtle Reef) are possible, weather permitting. With a depth of only approx. 10 m, the inner reef is particularly suitable for beginners and encounters with turtles are almost guaranteed. The outer reefs have a depth of approx. 10 – 30 m.
The diving center is open all year round. We are there for you 7 days a week.
